PDF to Word
Convert a PDF into an editable Word (.docx) document — text, layout and tables rebuilt, not just an image. Free, no login.
Convert PDF to Word
Folia rebuilds your PDF as a real, editable .docx file — paragraphs, fonts, tables and layout are reconstructed so you can keep editing in Word or Google Docs, instead of getting an uneditable image.
How it works
Drop your PDF above; it’s converted on our server and returned as a Word document. Your file is processed securely and deleted immediately.
One limitation to know
This works best on PDFs that started as text documents (Word exports, forms, reports). A scanned or photographed PDF has no underlying text layer, so its pages come back as images inside the Word file — the same limitation any converter has without OCR.
Frequently asked questions
Will the formatting be preserved?+
Text, fonts, tables and layout are rebuilt to closely match the original. Complex designs (multi-column magazines, heavy graphics) may shift slightly — this is normal for any PDF-to-Word conversion.
Does this work on scanned PDFs?+
Scanned or photographed PDFs have no text layer, so they convert as embedded images rather than editable text. For text-based PDFs (most Word exports, forms, reports), conversion is accurate.
Is my file stored?+
No. It is processed on our server and deleted immediately after conversion.
